Things to do on Holiday in Orlando
Orlando is a playground for both children & adults alike with so much to see & do. Having been to Orlando 4 times over the past 5 years I still do not feel that I have seen a fraction of what is available to do on holiday here.
Planning your time before you leave the UK is essential in maximizing your Orlando holiday and there are some excellent resources available through Disney & Universal for you to do this, but don’t forget there is also much more besides Disney & Universal to take in.
Much of what you will do may depend on what your interests are, whether you have children and how long you will be in Orlando for so we have included a number of ideas for you below. Any specialist arranging holidays in Orlando will be able to assist & guide you through all of these options and in many cases pre-book tickets ensuring that you do not blow your holiday budget.
Disney is one of the key attractions for people visiting Orlando and with their vast array of parks & attractions it is little wonder. Disney’s own website covers the many options available in great details so well worth a visit, but do bear in mind that their own tickets are not always the best available. The UK is allocated it’s very own type of ticket that can be booked and this can include every Disney park for the duration of your stay.
Universal Studios is a huge draw and a great option for teenagers and adults rather than much younger children. Universal offers excellent tickets in the UK for your holiday.
Seaworld is a fantastic experience allowing you to swim with Dolphins, but booking early is essential as numbers are extremely limited. For key holiday dates such as summer holidays and Easter booking at least 6 months in advance is recommended.
There are many smaller local attractions within Orlando along International Drive, ideal for a more relaxing day and will allow you to take in the many shops or designer outlets.
As many people hire cars when in Orlando and the roads are easy to navigate if you get the chance, (or time!!) why not head out to one of the Gulf Coast beaches such as Clearwater or St Pete’s, or if you head East within an hour you will reach Cocoa Beach. Not far from Cocoa you will also find Kennedy Space Centre which offers another great day out. If you are lucky enough to be on holiday when a space launch is taking place it is possible to order tickets to view this amazing experience.
