New York, New York. The Big Apple; the largest city in the U.S. known internationally for its culture, entertainment, dining, fashion, art, sports, finance, holidays and much more.
A Holiday in New York offers more than 18,000 restaurants, 150 world-class museums, and more than 10,000 retail shops of every variety. And despite all that, there is still so much more of New York to see.
Visit the Statue of Liberty on your holiday, a gift to the U.S from France. Called as “Liberty Enlightening the World,” holiday tourists could access the statue by hitting 354 steps to the crown.
Then take a holiday stroll in Central Park Manhattan, which stretches out for miles, offering running and biking trails, scenic bodies of water, and numerous recreation facilities. Amazingly, what started as swampland and bedrock, Central Park offers beauty and attractions in every holiday season.

No longer the tallest building in the world, the Empire State Building is still one of the best loved. It holds the distinction of being the fastest rising skyscraper ever built. Try going up to the 86th floor. On a clear day, you can see up to 80 miles.
How about a visit to one of New York’s institutions? The New York Public Library is one of the greatest research institutions in the world. It houses more than 6 million books, 12 million manuscripts and almost 3 million pictures. But if you think you need to be a bookworm to enjoy this sight, think again. Just a look on the inside and out of this National Historic Landmark will certainly leave you amazed at its grandiose appearance.
If you’re more into visual history, then a visit to New York’s museums is a must. The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Cloisters houses a complete Frank Lloyd Wright room, ancient Nubian temple, baseball card collection, one of the best Central Park views, and an impressive collection of masterwork paintings and sculptures, all in one place. Or take a trip way down to the prehistoric era at The American Museum of Natural History which has the largest collection of dinosaur fossils in the world. The Hayden Sphere, at the Rose Centre for Earth and Space houses one of the world's largest virtual reality simulators and puts a new spin on the usual planetarium shows.
And you just can’t be in New York without dropping by at Grand Central Terminal, the world's largest railway station and the United States' busiest. Rain or shine, Grand Central Terminal is always twinkling.

And these are just the beginning, a glimpse of the many sights that one can see. One holiday in New York is all it takes to see why it is considered by many the entertainment and financial centre of the world.
